Reggie Bush To Be Stripped Off Heisman Trophy?

bushSep 8, (THAINDIAN NEWS) New Orleans Saints player Reggie Bush is making news lately for reasons his fans would not be very happy about. If recent reports are to be believed then the noted football player is likely to be stripped of his Heisman Trophy by the end of this month. If the reports indeed turn out to be true and the much-coveted honor is indeed taken away from Reggie Bush then he would be the very first player in the 75th year old history of the award that someone is being stripped after being conferred with the honor.

The highly-acclaimed running back is likely to be stripped with the Heisman Trophy that was bestowed on him in the year 2005 with regard to a N.C.A.A investigation that found him and his family received illegal privileges during his association with Southern California. Despite the fact that a leading news source has reported that the stripping of Reggie Bush’s Heisman Trophy was indeed going to take place, the Heisman Trophy Trust has refuted the report saying that any decision with respect to the matter has not been taken as yet while Tim Henning who is a spokesperson of the reiterating the same stand.

According to the report, the Heisman Trophy for the year 2005 would remain vacant after the New Orleans Saints player is stripped of the honor. Following the probe by N.C.A.A, the U.S.C was slammed with a four-year probation, a two-year bowl ban as well as reduction in the football scholarships. The Heisman Trophy is awarded every year to the most outstanding player of college football.
