Nov 26, (THAINDIAN NEWS) New Orleans Saints were undergoing tremendous anxiety as the return of running back Reggie Bush was rather questionable. However, now the good news is he is back after missing eight games for breaking his right leg. That made the Saints win against the Cowboys on Thursday with a score of 30-27. Although, the credit does not exactly goes to the running back.
Reggie Bush who missed one touch down yesterday because of his weak legs, confessed that his performance was not up to the mark. However, he is confident that his team and he, would get better in the next week. Considering that he broke his legs on Sept. 20, while playing against San Francisco, his recovery was fast. Although his injury took a toll on his performance, it cannot be regarded as bad, for the injured player carried once for a yard and caught one of the three passes thrown at him. His team mates and his coach were a bit disappointed with his performance as he dropped the ball, which could have been a touch down reception. This gave three more points to the Cowboys. The defeated team required just four more plays after getting a goal for gaining 10 yards on the first two plays. Marion Barber made a huge contribution to take the score up to 23-20 while only four minutes were left for the third quarter. Everyone thought that the game will be concluding soon in favor of the Cowboys. But somehow, the to and fro oscillation of the match ended in favor of the New Orleans Saints, with a narrow margin.
Reggie Bush said after the match, that he does not like to think himself to be rusty player at all, although apparently it might seem so. However, the poor game was just a mental error on his part. His coach Sean Payton said that it is indeed a bit frustrating, but the first comeback match after an injury is always difficult for a player, and therefore he has to continue working on it.
