Redskins Lose To The Eagles In The Monday Night Game

October 27th, 2009 - 10:22 pm ICT by GD Tell a Friend -

Oct 27, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Philadelphia eagles beat Washington Redskins with a score of 27-17, when DeSean Jackson made a 67 yard touchdown. Jackson also caught a 57-yard score to help the Eagles win. With this win the eagles came back in the game, after loosing to Oakland last week with a score of 13-9. Washington lost for the third time in a row.

After the running back, Brian Westbrook left the game in the first quarter itself, as a result of a concussion, the game had to proceed without him for the whole evening. The Redskins had earlier announced, that Jim Zorn serving as the head coach will be called off from his duties. Zorn was substituted by Sherman Lewis, from Monday. Lewis had come out of his retirement around three weeks ago so that he could join the redskins as an offensive consultant. However the Redskins were disappointed with him when they lost the match to the Eagles. Both the teams disappointed people in the second half of the game. But apparently, Redskins were worse than the Eagles. David Thomas made a total of three catches for 45 yards after he caught his career’s first pass. Also Fred Davis was a nice substitute for Chris Cooley. He finished the game with a total of 8 catches for 78 yards, with one drop. Jason Campbell, had to struggle with some touchdowns, and was sacked about 6 times.

In this match Donovan McNabb, Philadelphia’s quarterback, got to throw his 200th touchdown pass. Washington had to fall 2-5. Also Byron Westbrook suffered a knee injury.
