Landover, Dec. 28, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Washington Redskins lost the game against the Dallas Cowboys 17-0 on Sunday. The win has proved significant for the Cowboys, as this win means that they have qualified for the NFL Playoffs. On the other hand, the loss of the Redskins to the Cowboys make it two defeats in a row, the last one being against the NFC East. The Dallas Cowboys seem to be on a winning spree: they had stolen a spectacular victory against the New Orleans Saints in their last match.
The fact that the Dallas Cowboys have been in top form for the last few matches should have made the outcome quite clear right from the match ups, particularly considering that the Washington Redskins are not a particularly highly esteemed team in the NFL. However, what made the scenario a bit different was the fact the Redskins, though not very highly ranked, can show surprising ability and tenacity at times, making them a difficult team to defeat.
The loss of the Washington Redskins has definitely come very hard upon them, and not only because they have lost their chance to qualify in the NFL playoffs. The match against the Dallas Cowboys was held at their home ground, making the defeat even more shameful. However, the defeat was taken by the Redskins in their stride, as could be gleaned from the comments of the defensive tackle of the team, Albert Haynesworth. He feels that the team is not a bad one at all, but their only problem is that they seem to be lacking the guidance they require.
