- London, Oct 3(ANI): Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp has dismissed reports that he is poised to leave the Spurs and insisted that his relationship with chairman Daniel Levy was healthy.
Earlier, it was reported that despite Redknapp leading Spurs to their best start to a season for 50 years, he was having some tough time with the chairman of the club.
Bookies were also spinning after speculation that Redknapp was leaving Spurs less than 12 months into his 9million pound three-year deal.
“Who starts this rubbish? Why do they do it? I don’t know. It happens all the time in our profession. When things are going well, someone tries to upset it,” The Sun quoted Redknapp, as saying.
“If I am upset, I am the sort who will walk in one day and say I’m off. I am a bit like that. But, I have no intention of doing that here. I get on very well with the chairman. He has been good as gold,” he added.
Redknapp further said that he was enjoying his stint with the Spurs and ahs absolutely no plans to leave the club in the near future.”I love it here. I have created a great atmosphere at the training ground and people have a smile on their face, more than they have ever done. The chairman doesn’t want me to leave either, that’s for sure. Things have gone fantastic here. And there are no forces from outside either, absolutely not,” Redknapp said.
“If there was anything to worry about, I wouldn’t be sitting here saying everything’s fine. But, there is nothing. This whole thing has been a load of nonsense. I don’t know what it is about, it is crazy rumours,” he added. (ANI)
