Red Bull’s Vettel wins Japanese Grand Prix
October 10th, 2010 - 3:17 pm ICT by ANISuzuka(Japan), Oct 10(ANI): Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel has put himself right back in this season’s Formula One title challenge by comfortably winning today’ Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka.
Vettel led from pole and took the chequered flag just 0.9 seconds ahead of his teammate Mark Webber, with Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso third, the BBC reports.
McLaren driver Jenson Button finished fourth ahead of teammate Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes’ Michael Schumacher.
Sauber’s Kamui Kobayashi finished seventh ahead of teammate Nick and Williams’ Rubens Barrichello, with Toro Rosso’ Sebastien Buemi claiming the final championship point.
McLaren’s Button and Hamilton are now rank outsiders for the title heading into the final three races of the season. (ANI)
