ray1Nov. 30, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Baltimore Ravens won the game 20-17 against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Nov. 29, Monday. The win for the team was decided in the last quarter of the game, with only 6 minutes 42 seconds left in overtime in the game. The winning moves were delivered by running back Ray Rice and quarter back Billy Cundiff. Both the players’ performance was spectacular, and sealed the game for the Baltimore Ravens. The win for the team comes at a crucial time, when most of the other AFC wild card contenders lost the games.

Ray Rice made four runs in the game. It faded out in the face f his other achievements that followed. What really counted was the fact that he rushed 19 times for 88 yards. His contribution to the victory does not end there. He also caught 5 passes for 67 yards. He did not score a touchdown, the first time in all the games for the last 5 weeks, nor did he get into the end zone, but that did not matter. His 44 yard reception in the final quarter of the game made sure that the game went into overtime, a situation that Billy Cundiff made the most of by scoring the 29 yard field goal.

Rice’s future seems bright after last night’s feat. He is already third in the list of running backs in the NFL and has the tenth biggest score of rushing yards in the league. Moreover, he holds the honor of being the sole running back in the league that leads not only in rushing yards, but also in pass receptions. Even the coach for the Steelers admit that the former Rutgers player is doing great things for his present team.
