Rashid stays on track at Rajasthan Open Amateur
January 27th, 2010 - 9:11 pm ICT by IANSJaipur, Jan 27 (IANS) Sinking two birdies on last four holes, Delhi’s Rashid Khan rallied well to card a round of even par 70 and held onto his massive 11-shot lead going into the final round of the LG Rajasthan Open Amateur Championship being played at the Rambagh Golf Club here Wednesday.
Rashid carded a round of even-par 70 to stay put a nine-under for the tournament, still 11 clear of the nearest contender. His clubmate from the Delhi Golf Club, Pawan Kumar, returned a card of two-under 68.
Pawan is at second place at two-over 212 and is three clear of Jamshedpur’s Karan Taunk (70) who is in sole third place at five-over 215. Three players- Abhinav Lohan, Ajay Singh and Moin Malak are tied at fourth place, one behind Taunk.
Karan Taunk, who carded a round of 70, will now play in the leadergroup along with Rashid and Pawan.
