ufc-108Las Vegas, Jan 3, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Nothing quite beats the line-up of some action filled UFC matches that were scheduled on this Saturday, to welcome the New Year with elan. Multiple UFC matches were fought last night to warm up the arena in the freezing wintry weather. Among the many matches that were scheduled on Saturday, the fight between Suga Rashad Evans and Thiago Silva, on the MGM Grand Garden Arena at Las Vegas in Nevada, had been most enticing.

Rashad Evans, the former champion of the Ultimate Fighting, had worked up some unique strategies to lay down his opponent Thiago Silva, in their first game of the new year. The match was interesting from the initial moments, as Rashad Evans had launched an attack on his opponent from the word go. Thiago Silva, who is known to have set up quite a few records earlier, was bullied by Rashad Evans within first thirty seconds of their fight. It was unexpected that the match would gain momentum from the beginning and the former UFC champion would use his wrestling stunts to knockdown his opponents completely.

As per the reports, Rashad Evans had made attacks of similar pattern throughout the match and defeated Thiago Silva without much difficulty. He had used grappling and some other strokes to win the fight. In an interview after the fight, he said that he had strategically chosen those shots for the game. He had been successful in other shots and want to become successful in these too. He had received success and the three judges declared him the winner.
