Ranji Trophy: Mumbai play Haryana in quarters

New Delhi, Dec 18 (IANS) Defending champions Mumbai got a relatively easy draw and will face Haryana in the Ranji Trophy Super League quarterfinals that begins December 24.
Haryana drew their final Plate division match with Tripura Friday but made the cut because of higher points in the league stage. They will have the home advantage when they take on 38-times champions Mumbai at Lahli.

Delhi, who qualified for the quarterfinals by a point, play Group A toppers Tamil Nadu at home. Delhi, who got a point from their drawn last league match against Bengal, made it to the last eight stage as Baroda failed to get the bonus points in their seven wicket-win over Maharashtra.

Group B topper Karnataka play Punjab, who denied Railways a win at home, at home in Mysore.

Assam, who beat Andhra Pradesh by five wickets in the plate division, will host former champions Uttar Pradesh at Guwahati.

Hyderabad and Maharashtra who ended at the bottom of Group A and B have been relegated to the Plate division. Hyderabad alongwith Tamil Nadu was the only team so far never to have face relegation.
