20090817_020150_hanson_randy_2007_galleryAccording to the sources, Raiders coach Tom Cable allegedly punched assistant coach Randy Hanson earlier this month, thus sending Hanson to a Napa hospital in order to undergo treatment. The reports were confirmed and were first reported by the National Football Post. The alleged altercation between Hanson and Cable reportedly occurred on August 5.

The Oakland Raiders coach Tom Cable is mum about the reports regarding his alleged altercation with the assistant coach Hanson, which ended with Cable punching Hanson right onto his jaw thus sending him to a nearby hospital. A report filed in the Napa Calif.

Police Department states that an anonymous 41 year old assistant coach is being treated in the Queen of the Valley Hospital for a jaw injury, which according to the victim was caused by an unidentified member of the Raider’s coaching stuff. The allegations simply suggests that the coach in question could be Tom Cable while the victim is Randy Hanson, the assistant coach of the Raiders.

“(The Hospital) is required to report those things to the police department anytime someone comes in the victim of an assault type crime,” McGovern reportedly said. “We were dispatched at the hospital and ended up contacting the victim at that location,” added McGovern.

Earlier, in an altogether a different issue, Hanson was suspended by former coach Lane Kiffin for a game last season after Hanson criticized Kiffin for his stances as he alleged Kiffin for not having the Raiders well prepared for the season opener against the Denver Broncos.

Hanson was not available for a comment regarding the issue as of yet.
