Bangalore, April 27 (IANS) Shane Watson’s match winning 61 for Rajasthan Royals against Bangalore Royal Challengers Saturday night earned him the second Man of the Match award, becoming the first player to win it twice in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He had first got the award for making 76 not out against the Mohali team at Jaipur Monday.

After losing their first game to Delhi Daredevils at Delhi, Rajasthan Royals have now won three successive games - one each against Kings XI Punjab, Deccan Chargers and Bangalore Royal Challengers.
Rajasthan Royals became the second team after Chennai Super Kings to register three successive wins.
The 104-run partnership for the third wicket between Graeme Smith and Shane Watson is the highest for Rajasthan Royals for any wicket, surpassing the 98 between Smith and Yousuf Pathan against Deccan Chargers at Hyderabad on April 24.
The Smith-Watson pair has equalled the previous best for the third-wicket in the IPL. Mathew Hayden and Suresh Raina had put on 104 for the third wicket for Chennai Super Kings against Mumbai Indians at Chepauk Wednesday.
The 41-run partnership between Parveen Kumar and Zaheer Khan is the best for the eighth wicket in the IPL, surpassing the 21 (unbroken) between Shane Warne and Pankaj Singh for Rajasthan Royals against Deccan Chargers at Hyderabad on April 24.
Rahul Dravid has averaged 11.33 so far - 34 runs in three IPL games.
Dravid’s average in Twenty20 so far is 17.80 - 89 in five games.
Shane Warne and Ajit Agarkar, with six wickets each, are now the leading wicket-takers in the IPL.
Ross Taylor, with three sixes during his innings of 44 off 20 balls (his highest in the IPL), has taken his career tally to 40 sixers in Twenty20.
Parveen’s 34 is his highest score in the IPL.
Zaheer (17 not out) also posted his highest score in the IPL.
Watson (2/20) and Munaf Patel (2/20) recorded thier best bowling figures in the IPL.
Jacques Kallis has averaged 14.66 in the IPL - 44 runs in three matches.
Watson (61 not out off 41 balls) registered his fifth fifty in Twenty20 - his second in the IPL.
Watson has aggregated 162 runs at an average of 81.00 in four games, including two fifties.
