New Delhi, April 26 (IANS) Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty Monday hit out at reports that she and her husband Raj Kundra are not the co-owners of the Indian Premier League (IPL) team Rajasthan Royals.
She expressed her resentment on microblogging site Twitter, tweeting: “Woke up and heard on TV that we are not Coowners of RR! Only want to say there is NO DOUBT that RAJ is a stake holder and I am the Brand ambassador, This IS THE TRUTH!.
According to Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president Shashank Manohar, Shilpa and Raj’s names do not even figure in the IPL team’s shareholding papers. The brewing IPL controversy has put Shilpa’s team under the scanner for allegedly being partly owned by Lalit Modi, who was suspended as BCCI vice president and IPL commissioner late Sunday night.
