Rain stops play at West Indies-South Africa match
February 24th, 2011 - 11:07 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Feb 24 (IANS) Rain stopped play in the West Indies-South Africa World Cup Group B match Thursday, with Proteas needing just 24 runs for victory here at Ferozeshah Kotla. Chasing a 223-run target, South Africans were cruising to a comfortable victory when skies opened up after 38 overs when they were 199/3.
AB de Villiers was batting at 97 and JP Duminy 28.
The rain should not be a worry for South Africans who are way ahead of the Duckworth-Lewis calculations.
