Rahul Gandhi arrives in Nagpur
July 18th, 2008 - 2:56 pm ICT by ANI ( Leave a comment ) Nagpur, July 18 (ANI): Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi arrived here today on a visit to the Vidarbha region of Maharashtra.
Rahul, accompanied by Congress General Secretary and in-charge of party affairs in Maharashtra Margaret Alva, received a warm welcome by party leaders at the airport.
Rahul, who has cut short his visit in view of political development in New Delhi, left for Yavatmal district by road. He is expected to return home on Saturday.
Earlier, Rahul was scheduled to visit Baba Amte’’s Anandvan and Sevagram Ashram of Mahatma Gandhi. He was to address the youth Congress and National Students Union Of India (NSUI) workers” at Deshpande Hall. (ANI)
