Arkansas, Aug 18 (THAINDIAN NEWS) When radio personality Renee Gork wore a Gators hat to an Arkansas Hogs news conference, then little did she know that it would become the cause of her firing from her job.

Renee’s employer is KAKS, a northwest Arkansas radio station, which is popularly known as the Hog Sports Radio. There was a news conference at the station with Arkansas football coach Bobby Petrino on Saturday. And that news conference, Renee had worn a Gator’s hat.

After the firing, Renee said in her defense that she had worn the Gators hat without any planning. Since it was raining when she was getting dressed so she just put on the hat. She also sent an apology letter to the University and football coach Bobby Petrino as well. It ought to be mentioned that Bobby’s team had lost 23-20 to the Gators in the last season at Florida. In fact when the interview was going on, then also Bobby had commented on Renee’s choice of hat. He had said to her that, “And that will be the last question I answer with that hat on.”

Renee announced to the world that she had been fired through the aid of a tweet on the popular social networking and micro blogging site Twitter. She tweeted that, “Was hoping to publicly apologize to coach Petrino and UA fans on the show today … but I won’t get that chance. I’ve been fired.”
