Queen congratulates Tour de France winner Bradley Wiggins

The Queen said in a statement that, “I send you my warmest congratulations on becoming the first British cyclist ever to win the Tour de France. Your historic achievement of claiming overall victory in this prestigious event is a great testament to the efforts of you and your teammates.”
Speculations are rife that Bradley Wiggins would soon be offered a knighthood soon.
Bradley Wiggins created history when he completed the race and he said to the media, “Job done”. He is the first cyclist of British origin to win the great cycling race. His victory is sure to inspire other cyclists to great achievements.
He doesn’t have much time to rest on his laurels as the Olympics are on and he is all set to compete in them. Hopes are resting on him that he would bring home an Olympic medal as well. In the Olympics he would participate in the men’s cycling road race, which is all set to take place on Saturday.
