The 6 feet tall Kellen Moore surpassed all expectations by his recent performance in what can be called the greatest home game in Boise history, this Thursday in Boise, Idaho.
Kellen threw a magnificent 197 yards and a TD cruising his 14th ranked Broncos to a victory over the 16th ranked Oregon for 19-8, on Thursday increasing their chances to win the next BCS Bowl.
Boise State Head Coach Chris Peterson came to the rescue of defensive end Byron Hout but could not prevent a punch on the jaw that came right across from a belligerent Lee Garrette Blout just after the whistle was blown.Blout had made a Ducks record of 17 TDS in the last season.
There were serious exchange troubles between QB Kellen Moore and Thomas Byrd, and a lot of sloppy playing continued to deter the momentum of the win, but Peterson who witnessed his defense rising to the occasion said afterward, “You know just emotions getting the best of players, and you know it was a hard fought game, really proud of our defense.” Despite 2 missed field goals, and three turnovers the game came up in the favor of the Broncos.
Peterson told sources that these were the kind of things that they constantly worried about, referring to the Hout getting hit,and also stated that there was a lot of work pending for his team.
Kellen has played for the Prosser High School where he got the name Gatorade Player of the Year in Prosser. In January 2009 Moore became the 37th best college football player as per the College Football News.
