Punjab picks medium-pacer Lumba in place of Sharma

- Chandigarh, Nov 14 (IANS) Punjab cricket selectors Saturday picked medium-pacer Bharat Lumba in place of leg-spinner Rahul Sharma for the Ranji Trophy Super League match against Tamil Nadu from Nov 17.
The selection committee also decided to retain Ankur Kakkar as the captain. He will also lead the side against Gujarat. Punjab plays Gujarat at Mohali Nov 24-27.
“The players have already left for Amritsar for the next match. Punjab has so far bagged four points in the series,” team’s spokesperson Sushil Kapoor said here Saturday.
