andre-wardPugilist Andre Ward has made his mark yet again, being victorious over contender Shelby Pudwill, both weighing 171.2 and 170.5 respectively. Pudwill is 22-4-1, 9 KOs and hails from McGlauglin, S.D.

The defeated player assumed the admiration of the audience in his determined do-or-die spirit that kept him going until the third round of the boxing match on Saturday at Pechanga Resort and Casino. The match could have been closed had it not been for the stamina of Pudwill who got a knock out early, that left him reeling in discomfort and pain, as he got injured on his left cheek. The 2004 Olympic Games gold medalist Ward showed no trace of mercy and told sources proudly, “I knew it was over after I knocked him down, there was no use continuing. Once I saw the blood the fight was over.”

Ward’s next big fight will be against Mikkel Kessler (41-1,32 KOs) of Copenhagen, Denmark. However we all will have to wait for that challenge to take shape, as each of the boxer will prepare devotedly to be the champion in the Super Six world Boxing Classic on November 21st, at Oracle Arena in Oakland, Calif. for Kessler’s WBA title.

Kessler faced his challenger No. 1 ranked Gusmyr Perdomo: the match betwixt the 2 was telecast on September 12th, from MCH Messecenter Herning in Herning, Denmark. He is still the proud owner of his WBA super middleweight title, after fighting for its worth in the 4 round match against Perdomo.

Ward told sources that he had not wanted to see the future challenger’s forte, as he had a preoccupied mind. Andre Ward hails from Oakland, Calif.
