Sydney, Jan.5 (ANI): Former Australian and South African batsman Kepler Wessels has said that the South Africans simply couldn”t hold up the quality of their performances, with their bowlers tiring in the current third Test against Australia being played here.
“I think they set such high standards in the first two Test matches that they can”t maintain those standards all the time,” the Sydney Morning Herald quoted Wessels, as saying.
“I still think from a motivational point of view they”ve got a real desire to win this game and I think they”ll try and do everything within their power to get into a winning position. It’’s not possible to retain your levels of intensity all the time,” Wessels added
Wessels comments came as South Africa let Australia of the hook, allowing them to score 445 after reducing them to 267 for six. (ANI)
