In an unfortunate car accident today, professional US golfer from Indiana, Chris Smith’s wife, Beth Smith was killed.The incident took place when the sport utility vehicle that she was traveling in, faced a collision with a greyhound bus that was carrying the Canadian semi pro football team.

His two children Abigael and Cameron Smith were also severely injured and had been almost immediately taken to Lutheran hospital via helicopter. The trio were returning back from Beth’s parent house after a visit for father’s day when the incident took place.

Chris Smith has been a golfer for quite a long time and had been taking part in the PGA since 1991. As his popularity rose with his success, he often had to stay away from home for important matches. It is his wife, Beth who had held back the family together, specially in raising their two children. The couple has been known as extremely gentle and good hearted.

To boost her husband’s success, Beth often used to accompany him to important matches and was with him when he won the title of Buick Classic, besides looking after the family. Smith made a fortune of around 4.7 million dollars through his sports career. The Smith family is known to be a close family.The Smith’s are three brothers of whom Chris rose up to fame due to the success in his golf career.

Chris Smith is absolutely devastated after hearing the news this morning. According to the latest reports, his children are still in critical condition.
