President to meet, congratulate Indian cricket team

Mumbai, April 3 (IANS) President Pratibha Patil, who enjoyed the exciting cricket World Cup final along with Sri Lankan President M. Rajapaksa, will Sunday meet and congratulate the victorious Indian cricket team.
The tea party function will be held at Raj Bhavan here in which Indian team captain M.S. Dhoni and all his team mates shall be present.
Besides, Maharashtra Governor K. Sankaranarayanan, Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan, and other prominent state dignitaries shall also be present.
Select members from the media have also been invited to the event, according to an official source.
President Patil is an avid cricket fan and arrived to watch the World Cup final held at Wankhede Stadium Saturday.
