Premier Soccer League: Barasat sold for Rs.25.15 crore

Rs.25.15 crore, over 31 times of the base price of Rs.80 lakh, for 10 years, in the official bidding of the franchise tender for the upcoming tournament.
Aajay Consultants bought the Siliguri franchise for Rs.18 crore, which was 18 times the base price of Rs.1 crore, the Indian Football Association and event promoters Celebrity Management Group said in a statement here Sunday.
The tournament is slated to start mid-February.
The Kolkata franchise, which also had a base price of Rs.1 crore, fetched Rs. 11.5 crore from the highest bidder, the Camelia Group.
Howrah was sold out for Rs.9 crore to Synsys Infotech, while Durgapur was bought by Tulip Infonet (India) Private Limited by bidding Rs 7.6 crore.
The only remaining franchisee Haldia got a bidder at the base price, but the bid was yet to be confirmed.
The statement said there will also be an expense cap for the franchise in each season for Players Auction date.
For the Season I, the expense cap is $2.5 million (maximum) and $2 million (minimum).
