Aug 8, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The highly anticipated and entertaining fight between Anderson Silva and Chael Sonnen in the main event of the UFC 117 proved yet again that mixed martial arts results can never be predicted, even till the last second. Anderson Silva pulled off a victory from the jaws of obvious defeat. In the post fight conference, it was evident how much the two fighters respected each other. Chael Sonnen had immediately asked for a rematch. The two fighters had also walked into the press conference a little while after it started.

One of the most memorable quotes came from Chael Sonnen in the press conference when he said that fighting Anderson Silva is like eating Chinese food which one craves 20 minutes after eating. Though fans are expected to see a rematch between the two champion fighter very soon, Chael Sonnen said that he would wait to fight against Anderson Silva even if it is in UFC 205. He also added that he will think about the fight when he goes to bed at night. UFC President Dana White was also seen present in the press conference and he was seen backing Chael Sonnen during his almost emotional outburst. The runner up also went on to say that he would fight Anderson Silva again immediately if the UFC allows.

Anderson Silva on the other hand, said that he had nothing against Chael Sonnen and it was just a sport. He also added that he found the way Chael Sonnen promoted the fight to be slightly weird. He said that he wanted to finish the fight by submission as a sign of respect to Big Nog.
