Portuguese player Sabrosa joins Espanyol
August 18th, 2012 - 2:21 pm ICT by IANSMadrid, Aug 18 (IANS) Portuguese footballer Simao Sabrosa has signed with Spain’s Espanyol, the Catalan football team confirmed on its website.
The Portuguese is the fifth signing of the La Liga team this summer. Before him, Espanyol signed Sergio Tejera, Wakaso, Capdevilla and Colotto, reports Xinhua.
Simao played for Sporting Clube de Portugal, Barcelona, Benfica, Atletico Madrid and Besiktas.
After passing the medical examination, Simao will play for Espanyol and will be officially presented Aug 20.
