Police baton charge Patna’s protesting teachersMay 7th, 2008 - 1:34 pm ICT by admin
Patna, May 7 (ANI): Police baton charged a group of teachers, who are working on an ad hoc basis and seeking permanent job status from their respective institutions.
The teachers tried to break down police barricades outsides the State Assembly to make their voices heard,” said Amit Kumar, Senior Superintendent of Police.
Such protests are quite common in India where the lack of proper infrastructure forces educational institutions to employ teachers on an ad-hoc basis with irregular salaries. (ANI)
