Pizarro loaned to Manchester City
February 1st, 2012 - 4:14 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )Rome, Feb 1 (IANS) Italian Serie A football club AS Roma have loaned their Chilean midfielder David Pizzarro to English Premier League side Manchester City, said Roma coach Luis Enrique.
The 32-year-old had been unsettled this season under Enrique, who said earlier that he was willing to get rid of Pizarro, Xinhua reported.
“If he is negotiating with another team that means something,” said Enrique. “There was nothing missing in our relationship, my job involves making decisions and this is one of those.”
Pizarro’s work permit obstacles had been overcome as City had asked for an exemption, given Pizarro has not played for Chile since 2005.
