Pietersen takes on challenge of batting blind folded
November 24th, 2010 - 6:45 pm ICT by ANIBrisbane, Nov.24 (ANI): Having a cricket ball fired at you while blindfolded isn’t everyone’s idea of fun, but for England batsman Kevin Pietersen it was a challenge he couldn’t refuse.
Pietersen had faced up to a bowling machine with a blindfold covering his eyes following a photoshoot for Brylcreem in north London.
And after a shaky start, he belted three balls for six, including one that went through the window of a nearby home.
Pietersen is the face of Brylcreem - and the video later appeared on YouTube.
However, critics said that the event was camera trickery and a viral campaign by the hair product company, which has launched a marketing drive to coincide with the Ashes, which begin tomorrow.
A spokesman denied any editing took place. (ANI)
