Baltimore, Aug 15 (DPA) US swimming star Michael Phelps came out unscathed after his car collided with another vehicle in his hometown here but would be booked for running a red light and driving with an expired license, police said.
Phelps gave the police an expired Michigan license, even though he is a resident of the state of Maryland, the Baltimore Sun reported.
The 14-time Olympic champion was involved in the accident while driving his Cadillac Thursday night but was uninjured.
Local police said alcohol was not a factor and the woman in the other car was taken to a local hospital as a precautionary measure.
