Peter Gammons Signs Up With MLB And NESN

Peter GammonsDec. 09, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Peter Gammons is going to tune in to NESN for the next season, he has announced. He will also be joining the MLB network, in order to cover the Major League events. His stint in the two networks is going to start from 2010. Peter Gammons is a celebrated writer and a member of the Hall of Fame. He has also starred in various television productions. Till now, he used to cover the baseball matches for ESPN, ever since he had joined the network some 20 years back.

Peter Gammons will be assuming the role of a reporter cum analyst of the matches that will be held in the Major League. He will also be a major contributor to the website of the MLB Network, MLB.com. He will be presenting breaking news on the channel and will also be responsible for making short documentaries. On NESN, the regional channel that is in alliance with the owners of the Boston Red Sox, he would also be the reporter and analyst.

Peter Gammons is elated to become a part of the networks. Admittedly, it is a dream for him to be part of a network that concentrates only on baseball. He also mentioned that it would be a great experience for him to be able to get back to his neighborhood once more. President of the MLB, Toni Petitti, expressed his happiness at having a veteran like Peter Gammons on the contributors’ list of the network, mentioning that anybody would be hard up to find someone as deeply associated with baseball as Peter Gammons.
