penny-stJuly 17, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Former NBA player Penny Hardaway who retired from the game in 2007 wishes to “come back down” to Miami Heat again for the next season. The four time NBA all star guard appeared on a talk show recently where he regretted that he did not get a chance to finish his career the way he wanted, owing to his repeated injuries. The player said that he could be a good influence to the team and he really wants to go back to the team as he feels that he can “help” the team.

Penny Hardaway anticipates that Miami Heat would give him great opportunity to come back and show that he can do things in the basketball court that he did a couple of years ago. The player added that he had sent text message to the Miami Heat coach Erik Spoelstra and his former teammate Alonzo Mourning expressing his wish to play with LeBron James, Chris Josh and Dwyane Wade. However, Penny Hardaway said that he has not spoken with Pat Riley, President of Miami Heat.

The shooting guard specialist said that he was retired both physically and mentally and was playing recreational ball. The player thought he could really be in the team when heard that the team signed LeBron James and Chris Bosh. The former player of Miami Heat says that age really does not matter to him as long as he is in shape and loves the game. Penny Hardaway said that he thought his career has ended after his knee injury. Now he feels that he is fit enough to play the game as he is working out four times in a week and playing basketball five times a week.
