Dec 19, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Penn State Nittany Lions have done it once again. After last night’s win the Penn State ladies volleyball team have achieved their straight fourth win of the national title. They beat the California Golden Bears by a 3-0 knocking them off to grab the national volleyball championship once again. The California Golden Bears this time were desperate to overthrow the Lions as the latter had dominated the title championship for quite some time. However, there ambitions did not get fulfilled last night and they had to accept the defeat at the Sprint Center, Kansas City.

After the game got over Penn State Nittany Lions coach Russ Rose was seen getting extremely elated and just could not stop gushing about the Lady Lions. After all the coach had every reason to do that since girls had done their coach proud. Russ Rose is the only coach to have five national championships under his belt. The Nittany Lions ardent followers who were present at the Sprint Center cheered aloud as the girls headed for another consecutive victory on Saturday night. The Lady Lions defeated the Golden Bears by taking an upper hand in all the three sets of the game where the results were 25-20, 27-25, 25-20 respectively.

The girls have truly maintained their monopoly and there is a question as to who next will take away their place. Will any one be able to? This is surely a question right now in every one’s mind as the team achieved its success in front of the 14,032 spectators. Senior players like Blair Brown, Arielle Wilson and Alyssa D’Errico along with freshers like Deja McClendon, Katie Slay and Ariel Scott did wonders for the Lions.
