Bangalore, March 4 (IANS) The victorious Indian team will get a bonanza of Rs.100 million from the cricket board for its stupendous win over Australia in the Commonwealth Bank tri-series in Sydney Tuesday. The gift to Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s team for its 2-0 win over Ricky Ponting’s men was made by president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Sharad Pawar here Tuesday evening.
The selectors will also get Rs.10 million for choosing the Indian team as well as the team for the under-19 World Cup, which India won in Kuala Lumpur, beating South Africa.
Pawar made the announcements at a reception for the Indian colts, who arrived here earlier in the day to a rousing welcome.
