Chicago, Dec.13, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Professional boxer Paulie Malignaggi registered his victory against Juan Diaz on Saturday in a much anticipated clash that was held at the UIC Pavilion. The clash between the two junior welterweights was a rematch of a controversial fight between the two boxers, which was held in the month of August. This victory was surely much more special for Paulie Malignaggi, who was defeated by the reigning champion Juan Diaz in their last encounter.

The 29 year old fighter from Brooklyn won the bout by a unanimous decision, with the judges declaring the score of 116-111. After suffering the humiliating defeat in the last bout, Paulie Malignaggi did not seem to take any chances this time around, as he displayed a stunning performance throughout the bout. The fighter remained in control of the bout as he gave his best shot to ensure his win. However, Juan Diaz also seemed quite aggressive around the third round, as he rained a series of punches on his opponent. However, the Brooklyn based fighter recovered well and in the sixth round he delivered punches and an undercut. The eighth round turned out to be immensely interesting, as both the fighters were neck to neck with each other. In the final rounds of the fight, Paulie Malignaggi continued with his amazing performance and emerged as the ultimate winner.

Meanwhile, the score which were given during Saturday’s fight were hugely different from the scorecard of their last bout, in which Juaz Diaz had won by an unanimous decision. Paulie Malignaggi had expressed his displeasure after the last fight, as he considered the result to be unfair.
