Pau Gasol Saves Los Angeles Lakers

abLos Angeles, May 1, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Pau Gasol was no doubt the master player of the Los Angeles Lakers team on Friday night’s basketball game against Oklahoma City Thunders. The missed jumper by Kobe Bryant which Pau Gasol held and then put it into the rim to get the needed lead just half of a second before the end of the game saved the Los Angeles Lakers’ game. The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Oklahoma City Thunders by 95-94 lead.

On Friday night’s Game 6 of the first round playoffs, the Oklahoma City Thunders no doubt showed a brave front. The eighth seeded team was able to push the Los Angeles Lakers to the limit. The Los Angeles Lakers had to struggle hard all through the game but were able to keep the margin of difference low. The game turned out to be one of the most exciting games that have been played in the playoff seasons. Just 1.8 seconds before the end of the game it seemed that the eighth seeded team would defeat the World Champions as Kobe Bryant took the 13-foot jumper along the right baseline. However, it turned that destiny wanted it go in favor of the Los Angeles Lakers as the player missed it and Pau Gasol went on for a rebound and grabbed the ball to go for a put back shot. It was over and done, the Los Angeles Lakers won over the Oklahoma City Thunders.

Pau Gasol not only contributed to the team’s success by the last minute shot but had to his credit 18 rebounds. He went for 4-of-11 from the field and scored nine points. Phil Jackson, the coach of the Los Angeles Lakers was satisfied with the team’s performance and said that this is how a Playoff game should be.
