Novak Djokovic Paris, Nov 16(ANI): Third-seeded Serbian tennis star Novak Djokovic, who defeated local favorite Gael Monfils to win the Paris Masters, has said that it was an extremely difficult game.

“It was unbelievably difficult. Gael was very unpredictable and he was hitting the ball very good,” The Herald Sun quoted Djokovic, as saying.

Djokovic’s first Masters triumph from his five finals in 2009, he defeated Monfils 6-2, 5-7, 7-6 (7-3) in front of a sellout crowd at the Palais Omnisports.

It was also his back-to-back ATP titles after defeating World No. 1 Roger Federer in the Swiss Indoors final last Sunday.

Djokovic will now have a week off before starting the defense of his title at the season-ending ATP World Tour finals in London from November 22 to 29. (ANI)
