Lahore, Mar. 28 (ANI): The Pakistan Government has decided to file a reference before the country’s Supreme Court to revisit the 1979 Z.A. Bhutto murder case, Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Dr. Babar Awan has said.
Addressing a news conference here, Awan said the reference would be filed after two days on behalf of President Asif Ali Zardari.
He said that the matter would also be placed before cabinet for its approval on Monday.
“We are hopeful that the judiciary, which is independent now, will set a similar historic precedent of deciding the case within record period of time which it had set in the case of PML-N Quaid (chief) Mian Nawaz Sharif by disposing of his cases in no time,” the Nation quoted Awan, as saying. (ANI)
