Paes jumps three places to seventh, Bhupathi sixth

New Delhi, Feb 2 (IANS) India’s Leander Paes jumped three places to the seventh spot while Australian Open finalist Mahesh Bhupathi stayed at the sixth position in men’s doubles in the latest Association of Tennis Professional (ATP) rankings Monday.Paes reached the semi-final with Czech Lukas Dlouhy where they lost to American Bryan brothers Bob and Mike, who went on to beat Bhupathi and Mark Knowles of Bahamas to claim the title.

Dlouhy jumped two places to the 10th spot while Knowles also moved up two spots to fifth.

Both the Bryan brothers also jumped two places each to share the top spot.

Sania Mirza, who lost to Nadia Petrova in singles second round, dropped 19 places to 127 in the Women’s Tennis Association singles charts.
