Pace University Football Player Danroy Henry Killed At Police Shooting

Oct 19, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Danroy Henry, the football player of Pace University was pronounced dead last Sunday after two officers shot at his vehicles. The police officers said that the 20 year old footballer struck two officers with his car and was nearly ramming in to the third officer when the police open fired to stop him which in turn took his life. The police said that the incident occurred when the police saw a large group of unruly patrons in a parking lot in-front of a bar.
The eye witnesses reported that around 50 police officers responded to the disturbance in front of the bar and the brawl continued even after the shooting incident. When Danroy Henry tried to ran away from the scene, the police open fired. Brandon Cox, who was a friend of Danroy Henry was also wounded at the open fire and another passenger was unhurt at the incident. Donna Parks, the mother of Brandon Cox told a reputed media source that the police pulled wounded Danroy Henry out of the car and handcuffed him, left him there for about 15 to 20 minutes. Moreover, the family of the players said that Danroy Henry and his friends were not involved in any brawls and they were waiting for a friend in front of the bar.
Westchester County District Attorney Janet DiFiore said that a thorough investigation will be done regarding the case where the police will interview the witnesses, collect all evidences, review and analyze all the informations along with the video surveillance. The New York State Police major case squad will also help in the investigation, Mount Pleasant Police Chief Louis Alagno said in his statement. Students of Pace University in Pleasantville, New York, held a candle light vigil in memory of Danroy Henry on Sunday.
