Oz reserve keeper Paine ruled out for season with finger injury
November 23rd, 2010 - 1:43 pm ICT by ANIHobart (Tasmania, Australia), Nov.23 (ANI): Reserve Australian wicketkeeper will miss the entire Australia summer of cricket after breaking his finger.
Paine is set for at least a six-week stint on the sidelines after breaking his finger in an exhibition game on Sunday night.
He was hit by a Dirk Nannes 148km/h thunderbolt while batting in the ACA All-Stars Twenty20 match at the Gabba, and broke his right index finger.
Paine flew to Melbourne today to see a specialist. It is doubtful he will be back on the park until early January at best. (ANI)
