‘Out of form’ Kamran needs to take break to work on basics: Latif

Karachi, Aug.5 (ANI): Former Pakistan captain Rashid Latif has advised wicket keeper Kamran Akmal to take a break from international cricket and work on his basics in order to prolong his career.

“The problem with Kamran is that he is overweight for a keeper and also jaded. He is playing constant cricket and he needs to take a break and comeback afresh,” Latif said.

The former wicket keeper said that Kamran has been struggling with his wicketkeeping over the last few series because of which his batting form has also dipped.

“He will only comeback stronger if he realises his weak areas and what he needs to do to iron out the problems. Because of his poor keeping his confidence as a batsman has also suffered,” The Daily Times quoted Latif, as saying.

Kamran has been under fire for missing several crucial opportunities during the first Test against England, which the hosts won by a huge margin of 354 runs. (ANI)
