Dec 19, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The basketball winter deals had already started some time back and teams are busy making changes for the fresh season. Yes swapping is being done in many of the teams. The latest to come across is a recent trade in made between the Orlando Magic and the Phoenix Suns. The Orlando Magic on Saturday night declared that they have brought Hedo Turkoglu, Jason Richardson from the Phoenix Suns and in exchange have sent Vince Carter, Mickael Pietrus and Marcin Gortat to the Suns.

Swapping is not something new in the world of basketball and many feel that the hiring of Hedo Turkoglu, Jason Richardson is surely to benefit the Orlando Magic. However, another deal that the Orlando Magic did recently and which is being viewed as quite a crucial exchange is the swapping between Rashard Lewis and Gilbert Arenas. Orlando Magic acquired Gilbert Arenas from the Washington Wizards which is surely to give them a strong foot. Whereas the move on the part of the Wizards is not being counted as a wise step.

The Orlando Magic this time are treading carefully and are likely to reap benefits out of their careful moves. They have also taken Earl Clark from the Phoenix Suns in exchange for their guards and back up center. According to sources, Orlando Magic coach Stan Van Gundy has revealed that Jameer Nelson will continue to be the starting point guard for Magic. He further that any one of the newly acquired players will have to come off the bench. However he said that as to who among Gilbert Arenas, Hedo Turkoglu and Jason Richardson will come has not yet been confirmed.
