Organisers to release more World T20 tickets

London, Jan 27 (IANS) The huge interest in Twenty20 World Cup cricket has prompted the organisers to release a new batch of tickets.The first allocation of tickets went on sale last June and were sold out within hours of being made available. More tickets are being released to allow fans of the Associate countries - Ireland, Scotland and Holland - to attend the tournament, which will run from June 5-21 with matches taking place at Lord’s, The Oval and Trent Bridge.

“We saw unprecedented interest when the first allocation of tickets went on sale in June 2008 with all those match days selling out in hours,” tournament director Steve Elworthy said.

Tickets can also be purchased from Thursday via www.icc-cricket.com.
