Melbourne, Nov.9 (ANI): Opposition parties in the Australian state of Victoria have joined hands to criticize the state government over the appearance fee being forked out to get Tiger Woods to defend his Australian Masters title in Melbourne this month.
According to the Herald Sun, The Greens have joined the Coalition in a chorus of disapproval against chipping in for Woods’ appearance fee, saying that the money would be better spent on “just about anything”.
Their attack comes as the golfing star flew into Melbourne ahead of his appearance at the Australian Masters later this week.
Woods landed at Essendon Airport in his first trip back to Melbourne since winning the JB Were Masters here last year, just before his private life unravelled. (ANI)
