Only three Chelsea players are in form, says coach Ancelotti
February 21st, 2011 - 1:18 pm ICT by ANILondon, Feb.21 (ANI): Coach Carlo Ancelotti has stunned his Stamford Bridge bosses by admitting that he has only three outfield players in form.
He named skipper John Terry and defender Branislav Ivanovic and Frank Lampard as his most dependable stars, the Sun reports.
But he confessed the rest of his squad is at rock bottom.
That brutally honest assessment will shock his big-name stars ahead of tomorrow night’s first leg of Blues Champions League last-16 clash with Copenhagen.
Ancelotti said it’s been that way for three months.
He first recognised the danger signs after Chelsea’s 1-0 away defeat at Birmingham back on November 20. (ANI)
