Meja (Allahabad), May 5 (ANI): One person was killed in a clash between political rivals in Meja town in Allahabad District on Sunday.
Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and Samajwadi Party (SP) cadres clashed at a roadside market revenue collection centre.
Angry supporters later started pelting stones and set three vehicles on fire, including two police vans.
The victim’s sympathizers blamed the BSP for the incidents.
“We demand the immediate arrest of the killers and their booking under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code. Everything here has been done at the behest of Collector Anand Kumar,” said Vinod Kumar Bind, a local. (ANI)
