Olympic: Narang misses 50m rifle prone qualification, Karmakar in
August 3rd, 2012 - 5:10 pm ICT by IANSLondon, Aug 3 (IANS) Gagan Narang, India’s lone medallist in the London Olympics so far, failed to make the final of the men’s 50 metres rifle prone event here Friday while his teammate Joydeep Karmakar made the cut.
Karmakar shot 595 to finish amongst the top eight shooters, who qualified for the medal round later in the day.
Narang, who won the bronze in the 10m rifle event, shot 593 to finish 18th.
