Oliver’s double does it for Stallion

Mumbai, July 23 (IANS) Bolstered by Oliver Bennis’ twin strikes, Stallion FC, Andheri romped to a convincing 2-0 win against Shambu FC in a third division match of the Mumbai District Football Association (MDFA) League being played at the St. Xavier’s ground, Parel, Monday.

In other games, Soccer School of Chincholi recorded an identical 2-0 margin of victory against Crusaders SC. Sagar Amre and Avinesh Pandey were on target for the winners.

In an evenly contested encounter Black Panthers and Rising Star shared honours in a 2-2 draw. Raj Kumar Pandya and Sandeep Thanveer scored for the Panthers, while Aditya Sharma netted a brace for Rising Star.

Results Div-III: Virar FC 3 (Vignesh Kamble, Pratil Mulla, Minesh Shetty) beat Shree Shanti Nagar 1 (Pratimesh Bobate); Soccer School of Chincholi 2 (Sagar Amre, Avinesh Pandey) beat Crusaders SC 0; Vipul Gorai 1 (Saurabh Tambe) beat Salcette FC 0; Black Panthers 2 (Raj Kumar Pandya, Sandeep Thanveer) drew with Rising Star 2 (Aditya Sharma 2); Stallion SC, Andheri 2 (Oliver Bennis 2) beat Shambu FC 1 (A Bhat).
