Pattinson is currently with the Victorian squad playing in the Champions League Twenty20 in South Africa and will remain with the Bushrangers until their finals aspirations are determined.
“The injury to Josh is obviously very disappointing as he is one of the young fast bowlers we have identified as having an important role of to play in Australia’s future,” chairman of selectors Andrew Hilditch said.
Team physio Alex Kountouris said he would require a rest from bowling “to allow the bone stress to resolve.” (ANI)
